Welcome back for part 2 of getting the most out of your SpeechMike Premium. In the previous blog we covered implementing a show dictation box button. In today’s blog I will be discussing a few more button configurations, which I have found to be quite useful. In this example I am using the Philips SpeechMike Premium with Slide Switch. Lets’s get started.
The first button we will configure, goes well with the show dictation box button we configured in Part 1.
We are going to assign the transfer text command to the ins/ovr button. To do this we need to open our Philips Device Control Center and navigate to the Application Control tab. Once there we need to find “insert” in the left hand column and click on the ellipses to the right. This will open the edit operation window. We now have to click Add, select dragon Naturally Speaking command and click next. From the drop down list we can now select Transfer and Click finish and OK. we also need to click the apply button on the top left to save the changes to the microphone.
Now that we have the command set, we can transfer text from our dictation box to any location with the click of a button!
I also like to add the next field and precious field buttons. These are applied in the exact same way. I find that this setup increases efficiency. In the image below is my SpeechMike Premium setup. There are many more custom configurations you can do with the Philips Device Control Center, be sure to play around with it and see what works for you. You can also share your button configurations with colleagues as well by using the export configuration button.
With your SpeechMike Premium setup more efficiently, you will be even more impressed by the power of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
