Today I am going to discuss how to Export and Import Dragon NaturallySpeaking Commands. Knowing how to do this can be very useful for when you want to transfer commands to another workstation or to a coworker or colleague.  The first thing we are going to cover is Exporting commands.

How to export a command

  1. Open the Dragon profile that contains the command you want to export.
  2. Click on the Tools menu and then click on Command Browser.
  3. Expand the task pane on the left-hand side, if it is not expanded.
  4. Click on Manage
  5. Click on the plus sign (+) to expand the list if needed to find the command(s) you want to export.
  6. Click on the box to the left of the command in order to place a check mark. Do this for each command you wish to export.
  7. Once you have selected all of the commands you wish to export, click on the export icon in the task pane.
  8. Select a file name and location for your Dragon NaturallySpeaking commands file and you are done.

How to Import a command

  1. Open the Dragon profile that you would like to import a command to.
  2. Click on the tools menu and then click on Command Browser.
  3. Expand the task pane on the left-hand side, if it is not expanded.
  4. Click on Manage and click Import.
  5. Locate the Dragon NatuallySpeaking commands file and click Open.
  6. Select the commands you wish to import from the file and click the Import button.

 

There you have it! We have now successfully exported and imported Dragon NaturallySpeaking Commands!
